The Georgian Guide is a static website. We do not run user accounts, comments or newsletters, and we do not set advertising cookies.

Hosting and analytics

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, and provides us with aggregate, cookie-free traffic statistics. We also use Google Search Console, which reports aggregate search data and does not identify individual visitors.

Affiliate links

When you click a booking link to a partner such as Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Localrent or Airalo, that partner may set a cookie on its own site to attribute a booking to us. This happens on the partner's domain under the partner's privacy policy, not on thegeorgianguide.com. See how we make money.

Booking links pass through a short redirect on our own domain. It adds the partner's tracking code and keeps a daily tally of clicks: the date, the partner, the page the link sat on, the referring website's domain, the browser family (for example Chrome or Safari), whether the device is mobile or desktop, and the browser's technical request headers that say whether the click came from one of our pages and whether it was a link opened by a person rather than loaded by a script. It stores counts only. It does not record your IP address, set a cookie, or keep anything that could tell one visitor from another. We use the tally to see which guides help readers book and to filter out automated traffic.

Fonts

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to serve the font files.
